Due to the delicacy of many Hygge pieces, I ask that you please wear each item with care.

Hygge is typically not responsible for damages after the item has been worn. Should you receive your item with damages from shipping, please get in touch within 7 days of receipt to discuss a replacement.

I am happy to offer repairs on items that can be fixed.

Selecting your item

Some Hygge items are available in alternative metals (such as sterling silver in place of gold, or gold filled in place of gold plated) if needed. Check the options for each listing or get in touch with me here.

Your jewelry size is important for obtaining the right fit. Necklaces, bracelets, anklets, rings, will typically have a drop down menu for selecting your size. Some items may come instead with an extender for adjustability. If you’re looking for a particular size, or are confused about the sizing process, please contact me & I’m happy to help.

Almost every Hygge piece is made of either gold filled or sterling silver metals. Gold filled jewelry has 100x more gold alloy than gold plated, & because that layer is so much thicker, it means gold filled jewelry lasts longer & stands up to more wear + tear. Feel free to wear your Hygge in the sun or water — eat, sleep, play in your Hygge — but be mindful of the more delicate chain or softer stones. And remember, that these are not solid gold. This means there will be a layer of either sterling silver or brass at the core of every gold filled piece.

Some gold plated pieces are offered as an even more affordable option. These won’t have the same longevity as gold filled or sterling silver jewelry, but with the right care can still hold a permanent place in your jewelry collection.

The Hygge sterling silver collection is growing! These items are just as functional as gold filled pieces. If they happen to tarnish, simply wipe clean with a tarnish cloth to make them sparkle again.

Forever bracelets & permanent jewelry

If you’ve purchased a forever bracelet or other permanent jewelry, then you’ve selected either a 14k gold filled or sterling silver metal. These metals will stand the test of time and keep up with the wear + tear of your life, but keep in mind that some chains are delicate. Hygge is not responsible for any permanent jewelry that breaks after 24 hours from your purchase. Permanent jewelry can be put back on with a $15 re-zapping fee.
